How do I become a Software Tester?

What does this job involve? And how do you go about training to become one? I’ve done a bit of programming (I suck at programming but I understand how a good program should work.. ease of use, speed, persistance, stability, specifications and so on.) so thought I might be good at this job. What qualifications do I need?
